Can Stripe be Merchant of Record?

No. Stripe can handle payment processing, dunning settings, fraud detection, tax calculation, chargeback disputes billing, etc. but Stripe does not cover tax remittance and tax liability. Cleeng Merchant covers the whole Merchant of Record responsibilities, including tax remittance and liability.

Can I use all Stripe's functionalities?

Yes. With Cleeng's integration to Stripe, you can use all Stripe functionalities. Some functionalities, such as tax calculation, billing, checkout, invoicing are already included as part of Cleeng Core so we recommend to use Core for these and keep Stripe for the payment processing, fraud detection, analytics, etc.

How complex is the migration to Stripe?

Independently on whether you already have a Stripe account or not, the migration of your subscribers to Cleeng Core + Stripe is very smooth and fast.
